Message While there are several write ups for swapping the fronts, I've found little guidance for swapping in longer rear studs. Since the rear hub lacks the hole the front hubs have for this purpose, there are a few things you have to do. If you are swapping the same size stud, it can be wiggled out/in without removing the e-brake.

I wanted to put the Nismo 60mm studs on - a good deal longer than stock.

Once you've removed the rear brake and rotor, remove the e-brake. Start with the top springs, then the screw in the middle (it just needs to turn 90 degrees then will pop out). You can leave the cable connected to one caliper if you like - you'll just have to move it out of the way periodically.

It is not necessary to remove the hub itself. As shown here, this is the one spot I could find the longer stud would fit. Place the stud at an angle and rotate the hub so that the bolt aligns and moves in as you rotate.

I used some old stock 350z nuts and about 2" of washers as a press.

Hope this helps.
Rob
